John and Marinder do us proud!

Congratulations to John Daly and Marinder Singh who both made the final squad for the Munster U13s to play the Leinster, North and North Western Cricket Unions during the Irish Interprovisionals to be held in Northern Ireland in the first week in July.

 

 

Limerick Host 6-aside Cricket world Cup Competition

To assist increase cultural awareness and promote understanding Limerick CC and Limerick Community Gardai will host a 10 over 6-a-side Cricket World Cup competition on July 27th 2008 at the University of Limerick, Castletroy.  Teams representing as many countries as possible are invited.

 

 

Quins Collapse to Mosh & GoghI in Junior cup rematch

Following a challenge by Harlequins on the eligibility of Farrouk and the order of a replay from the Munster Cricket Committee, Limerick 2nd XI made their way to Harlequins for the rematch.  They left several hours later with Mosh and Goghi having prompted a major collapse that saw Quins lose 6 wickets for 20 runs and fall 8 short of a meagre target.  !

 

OUTDOOR TRAINING

Outdoor training sessions are taking place each Wednesday evening at 6:30 at the University sports field, and every Sunday afternoon 2 to 4 the astro-turf in Villiers School.  Youth coaching sessions ­- Sunday afternoon 2 to 4 the astro-turf in Villiers School.

Melt and Lynch take Limerick home against UCC

An unbroken 150+ run partnership between Melt (75*) and Alan (68*) gave Limerick a deserved 6 wicket Division 1 win against UCC in Division 1…….scorecard to follow

LIMERICK SENIORS TAKE THE SPOILS AT QUINS IN THE TIGHEST of FINISHes

Limericks senior team beat Harlequins by one wicket to maintain their excellent start to the season.  A strong performance in the field restricted Quins to 113.  But our top and middle order, with the exception of Farrouk (60), failed to provide the necessary platform needed and left it to the tail to secure victory as Quins upped the pressure

Limericks senior team made a strong start to their 2008 Senior Cup campaign with a thoroughly professional performance against Midleton on May 11th.

 

LIMERICK MINORS BEATEN BUT NOT BRUISED IN KERRY

A rapidly arranged friendly match between Limerick Minors and Kerry didn’t go the way of Limerick, but a good day was had by all

 

Limerick Seniors See Off WAterford IT

Following the postponement of the Senior Cup preliminary match last week, Limerick Seniors opened their 2008 competitive account with a hard fought victory over Waterford IT.  The major Limerick contribution came from budding all-rounder Melt Siebert who claimed a 7 for on his eagerly awaited return to competitive cricket – welcome back Meltman!  Scorecard to follow.
